Bipartisan House and Senate lawmakers are saying it’s time for Congress to get to work crafting regulations for hemp THC products now that legislation to delay a scheduled ban on them is poised to be enacted.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is touting the state’s $8.4 billion haul in marijuana tax revenue—saying the money “helps fund programs that benefit Californians, including childcare and early childhood development, youth substance abuse prevention, medical research and environmental recovery.”
A California lawmaker who sponsored legislation to legalize cannabis dispensary drive-thru windows spoke to Marijuana Moment about her decision to put the bill on hold after it cleared the full Assembly and a Senate committee.
A new scientific review concludes that “current evidence indicates that cannabis, in various forms, may alleviate or prevent symptoms of [restless leg syndrome] through multiple mechanisms.”
