Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) says he’s considering putting marijuana legalization into his budget request. In 2019, he included decriminalizing marijuana possession and legalizing medical cannabis in his proposal but lawmakers rejected the reforms.

The Montana Commissioner of Political Practices determined that a major funder of the state’s successful marijuana legalization ballot initiative broke campaign finance laws by refusing to disclose donor names and should be referred for possible prosecution.

The secretaries of state and attorneys general of Mississippi and South Dakota filed court briefs defending their states’ voter-approved marijuana ballot measures from legal challenges that seek to overturn the legalization victories.

The Cannabis Regulators Association, a multi-state group of marijuana officials, added representatives from five more states and announced a lengthy list of policy priorities, including equity, banking, testing and energy/environment.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) sent lawmakers proposed changes to marijuana bills on his desk in an effort to resolve a dispute about penalties for people under the age of 21.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham tweeted a link to an article about marijuana legalization’s revenue potential and added the emoji “👀.”

The Illinois State Police are expected to make an announcement soon about marijuana records that must be identified for expungement by Friday.

Outgoing Massachusetts marijuana commissioner Shaleen Title spoke about her time in office and what she has planned next.

Colorado regulators sent a compliance tip about marijuana vending machines.

Oregon regulators sent a compliance bulletin about marijuana additives.

New York senators filed a bill to protect people from being evicted from their homes for medical cannabis use.
