A new Associated Press poll conducted in conjunction with the election shows that President-elect Donald Trump’s endorsement of a Florida marijuana legalization ballot measure largely failed to convince his supporters in the state to back cannabis reform.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic House majority leader said the chamber is ready to “move forward” with marijuana legalization in the new session, adding that it’s an issue the GOP-controlled Senate “will likely be having to deal with in the very near future.”

A Florida Republican representative is considering filing a bill to legalize marijuana home cultivation following the failure of a broader legalization ballot measure—but the incoming GOP Senate president and House speaker said they do not support expanding legal access to cannabis.

Idaho activists filed a final version of a marijuana legalization initiative they hope to qualify for the 2026 ballot that includes revisions addressing concerns raised by the state attorney general.

Baltimore, Maryland voters approved a ballot measure to create a city fund to support communities disproportionately impacted by marijuana criminalization, with the money coming from tax revenue generated by legal cannabis sales.

Massachusetts’s ousted Cannabis Control Commission chair is asking the Supreme Judicial Court to reinstate her to the position that the state treasurer fired her from over alleged “gross misconduct.”

The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission announced it will begin enforcing portions of a new hemp product ban that were not struck down by a federal judge.
