Former President Barack Obama revealed on Saturday that once, when he was in college, he and a group of friends got kicked out of Disneyland.
Their offense? Smoking on the gondolas.
Smoking what, though?
During the middle of his story, which he recounted at the start of a rally for Democratic congressional candidates, the crowd seemed to think he meant marijuana.
“No, no. These were cigarettes, people,” the former president explained.
But then he appeared to perhaps wink, or maybe it was a full double-eyed blink. It’s difficult to tell from the camera angle and the way he turned his head.
You be the judge:
Another video is here.
Either way, a number of people took to Twitter to say they thought the former president, who is on record as a former cannabis (and cocaine) consumer, fessed up in a roundabout way to getting tossed out of Disneyland for smoking weed.
“They were cigarettes,” he says with a smile.
