Former President Donald Trump attacked Vice President Kamala Harris on cannabis, claiming that she “put thousands and thousands of Black people in jail over marijuana”—though her actual record as a prosecutor is more nuanced.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse awarded a $2.9 million grant to support research on how to improve the efficacy of cannabis warning labels, which many states require under their legalization laws but for which there are no national standards due to ongoing federal prohibition.

A new poll shows that Florida likely voters support the marijuana legalization initiative on the November ballot, 64 percent to 31 percent—with majority support in every demographic, including Republicans and Trump voters.
