An Oklahoma marijuana campaign launched a signature drive in support of a legalization initiative it wants to put on the 2026 ballot, with hundreds of medical cannabis dispensaries and other retailers hosting petitions.
Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer (D) announced purchase totals for the first weekend of legal recreational marijuana sales—saying the state has a “real opportunity to reinvest this revenue directly into neighborhoods across our state, ensuring Delaware becomes a national model for cannabis quality, innovation, and fairness.”
A majority of marijuana consumers expect that cannabis will be federally legalized before the 2028 presidential election, according to a new poll from NuggMD.

New Mexico regulators adopted emergency hemp rules.
Rhode Island regulators are urging the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit to uphold the dismissal of a lawsuit challenging the state’s marijuana business licensing system.
New York regulators retroactively postponed an August 1 deadline to implement cannabis seed-to-sale tracking. Separately, regulators published a memo for marijuana businesses affected by a misinterpretation of zoning law.
Michigan regulators published an updated cannabis compliance best practices guide.
Vermont regulators are accepting registrations for a series of cannabis business workshops.
The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska has received more than 50 applications to serve on its tribal cannabis commission.
The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development will soon accept applications for the cannabis revenue-funded Community Reinvestment Grants program.
