Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said she worries that Amazon’s support for legalizing marijuana is a “self-interested move to monopolize yet another market” and argued that cannabis laws need to be structured to prevent “Big Tobacco and alcohol corporations or retail giants from dominating” the market.

Nevada lawmakers sent Gov. Joe Lombardo (R) an omnibus marijuana bill that would more than double the legal possession amount, consolidate licensing rules and broaden eligibility for participation in the cannabis industry by people with prior felony convictions.

Rhode Island courts have expunged more than 23,000 marijuana possession convictions as part of the first wave of record relief mandated by the state’s cannabis legalization law.

The Florida Supreme Court has agreed to give the state attorney general two more weeks to file a brief detailing her argument that a proposed marijuana legalization initiative should be kept off the 2024 ballot.

Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) and former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul are pushing the Biden administration to “immediately” escalate efforts to free American citizen Marc Fogel, who is imprisoned in Russia for possessing medical cannabis.

Video game streaming platform Twitch released new branded content guidelines that specifically ban promotion of cannabis-related products but allow ad partnerships for alcohol.

North Carolina’s House Health Committee chairs said the body’s Republican caucus will discuss a medical cannabis legalization bill soon, with one saying it “could move to the floor as early as the last week in June.”

The New Jersey Assembly Health Committee approved a bill to ban delta-8 THC products.

The Virginia Court of Appeals overturned the contempt conviction of a domestic violence victim who admitted to smoking marijuana before testifying during a trial.

Alaska regulators filed revised hemp rules.

California regulators are proposing to readopt emergency rules for cannabis delivery.

Minnesota regulators sent guidance about changes to rules on edible cannabinoid products.

Colorado regulators sent a warning about marijuana businesses adulterating testing results.

Vermont regulators said the pathogen Hop Latent Viroid was detected at a cannabis grow site in the state.

Massachusetts regulators are considering steps to increase military veterans’ access to medical cannabis.

New Mexico regulators launched a public education campaign about responsible cannabis consumption.

The New York Cannabis Advisory Board  will meet on Tuesday, with the Cannabis Control Board meeting on Thursday.
